Mission Statement:

Nalla - A owl that typically visits Sue Rhem-Westhoff's cabin.The mission of the Defenders of Urban Wildlife is to preserve and protect native vegetation, wildlife and their habitat in Grand Haven, Spring Lake and neighboring regions. Through careful science, research, community education and political activism we endeavor to maintain healthy ecosystems in which plant, animal and human residents, present and future, can thrive.

This site belongs to the Defenders of Urban Wildlife. This group was formed in answer to the senseless ambush and slaughter of pregnant doe and their fawns in the city of Grand Haven, MI.
